Mercedes-AMG is set to debut a pair of EV super sedans, developed entirely in-house, starting next month. But according to Schiebe, these models will complement—not replace—the V8-powered lineup.

“I always say it needs to be an AMG first and an EV second,” he explained. “It’s the sound, it’s the feedback that you get from the car… performance remains our top priority.”

In other words, future AMG customers—whether they choose plug-in hybrid, full EV, or traditional V8—can expect nothing less than a pure AMG driving experience.
